Singapore Airlines (SIA) confirmed that two passengers were removed from Flight SQ826 to Shanghai on February 6 after they verbally and physically abused cabin crew members.

According to an SIA spokesman, quoted by the Straits Times, the incident took place while the aircraft was taxiing for takeoff at Changi Airport.
The pilots decided to return to the gate, and the passenger and their companion were offloaded before being handed over to local authorities.
SIA says that they believes that all our employees have a right to a safe and respectful workplace environment, –We do not tolerate any form of unruly or abusive behaviour, whether on the ground or in the air.
Flight delay and passenger apology
The altercation delayed the flight by 1 hour and 46 minutes, with departure eventually taking place at 3:01 AM. SIA apologised to passengers for the inconvenience and reaffirmed that safety remains its top priority.
Video of the incident goes viral
A video of the altercation was shared on TikTok, showing a woman shouting in Mandarin while crew members attempted to calm the situation.
SIA highlighted that its crew are trained to manage disruptive behavior and that ground staff have the authority to refuse boarding to any passenger exhibiting erratic behavior before departure.
